Award Amount: Up to $20,000 (paid over 3-4 years; must meet renewal requirements; Up to 5 Awarded)

Eligibility: Female student pursuing first Undergraduate degree or certificate; demonstrated financial hardship; serious about improving her life through education; US citizen or eligible non-citizens (include US legal residents and AB 540 students); and San Mateo or Santa Clara county graduating High School Senior or current San Mateo or Santa Clara county resident planning to attend a college in the San Mateo County Community College District. Finalists must interview with the Selection Committee.

Requirements: Online Application, Personal Statement, Official Transcript, 2 Letters of Recommendation, Proof of US citizenship or residency status, and a copy of FAFSA or SAR or California Dream Act Application (no hard copies).

Award Amount: $1,000 (Renewable; up to 10 Awarded)

Eligibility: Women aged 16 to 26; current resident of San Mateo County; US citizen; demonstrated financial hardship; current graduating Senior or High School graduate or GED. Young women who are self-motivated, need financial support, and attempt to achieve despite tremendous obstacles. Young women who have dropped out of school for reasons beyond their control or who have undergone unusual hardships to remain in school are encouraged to apply. The selection committee considers additional circumstances related to possible ethnic or racial discrimination, physical disability, or the choice of a non-traditional area of study.

Requirements: Application Form, 2 Letters of Reference, Transcript, Personal Statement, SAR or Tax Returns, and Proof of citizenship and Legal Residency.
