FFA Cheryl Dant Hennesy ScholarshipIn 2013, the National FFA Organization is offering $2.1 million in scholarships designed to fit the diversity of their applicants. Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. The selection process takes into account the whole student – FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics.

Award Amount: $1,250 (Renewable for 3 additional years; must maintain a 2.0 GPA)

Eligibility: Women pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in any area of study; residing in Georgia, Kentucky, or Tennessee. Must demonstrate financial need as well as individual motivation.

Requirements: Online Application, 2 Short Essays, Student and Parental Financial Information, Class Rank, GPA, and ACT or SAT Score. Applicants must create or update their Profile (My Information) in AgCN before beginning an application.

Award Amount: $2,000–$5,000 (Amount and number of awards varies); All-expenses-paid trip to Atlanta, Georgia, to attend Awards Luncheon

Eligibility: Non-traditional, women students whose education was delayed or interrupted. Women with a vision to succeed regardless of any obstacles that life has put in their way. Women who give back to their communities and whose goals and desires for education align with their passions. Preference is given to women who are pursuing their educational goals in Georgia. This may include women who are returning to school after a hiatus, changing careers, seeking advancement in their career or work life, and stay-at-home moms entering the workplace and in need of additional education and training. This scholarship is not intended for recent High School graduates. Applicants must be accepted into a program of study at an educational institution; must be at least 25 years of age by the deadline date. US citizen or Foreign Nationals who have a green card and plan to study in the US.

Requirements: Application, Essay, Proof of Acceptance or Enrollment or College Transcript, and 2 Letters of Recommendation.
