Summer Camp 2: Create Your Scholarship Portfolio

Scholarship Summer Camp (Color)Our goal is to give you the tools you need to start applying for scholarships today and graduate college debt free.

NEW Class Starts June 24 (Tuesdays)

Spend one day a week over your summer and you’ll be ready to hit the ground running when the Fall Scholarship Season opens up! If you take the time now, you will have all the documents Scholarship Committees require to be submitted with their application (what we call your Scholarship Portfolio). Having these documents on your computer will save you a ton of time which lets you apply for dozens (dare I say, hundreds?) of scholarships. We call this the “cookie-cutter approach.” You’ll be steps ahead of the competition because you’ll be able to submit everything in time for the deadline even if you only have a few days notice. Missed deadlines will be a thing of the past.

If you’ll be a High School Senior next year, it’s even more important to spend some time preparing your Scholarship Portfolio over the summer. Why? Because you’ll be so busy applying to college, you won’t have the time or energy to find and apply for the scholarships that will help you actually pay for college and avoid Student Loan Debt.

The Scholarship Summer Camp 2 begins with a half-hour Skype call with Gyan to identify your goals and create an action plan. Each week, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build a scholarship team
  • Use social media resources to find and win scholarships, and
  • Create (or request) all the documents you’ll need in your Scholarship Portfolio.

You’ll also get answers your questions, receive feedback and professional editing of your portfolio. After each class, you’ll send us components of your Scholarship Portfolio so we can review them. They will also be proofread and edited by Myrriah Lavin, a professional writer and editor with 30 years experience. You’ll receive explicit feedback to produce standout essays, high-quality letters of recommendation, a powerful personal statement, and a professional resume and cover letter.

At the end of two months, your Scholarship Portfolio will include:

  • Two Essays
  • Sample Application
  • Resume
  • Requests for Letters of Recommendation (leading to real Recommendation Letters)
  • Transcripts
  • Test Score Documentation
  • Cover Letter
  • Personal Statement
  • Photograph (Headshot)
  • Thank You Notes to Your References

AND, best of all, you’ll be able to start submitting applications to scholarships immediately!

In addition to participating in the weekly calls and portfolio review process, you’ll get a free copy of our “How to Find & Win Scholarships” book.

The Scholarship Summer Camp 2 meets each Tuesday by Skype from the comfort of your own home from 7 to 8 pm (ET), starting on June 24th. You can send emails with Scholarship Portfolio documents or ask questions that may come up between classes. We limit class size to six students. The price is $1,200 (about half of 1 average-size scholarship). If you register by May 26 (Memorial Day), you can save 20%. To register and reserve your place today, please send Gyan an email or give her a call at 802.585.1353.
